HTI is hiring an experienced Purchasing/MRO Buyer for a large manufacturer near Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a full-time, onsite, salaried position. The company offers full benefits and relocation assistance if needed. Salary depends on experience and education, and the range is from $80,000 - $90,000 / year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing and/or MRO Buying, with at least 2 years in plant manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable vendor terms and pricing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze costs and source suppliers, ensuring a minimum of three quotes.
• Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
• Issue purchase orders and agreements, monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues.
• Analyze industry trends and support senior management in developing sourcing strategies.
• Manage CAPEX projects, including budget oversight and contractor management.
• Document cost savings through supplier negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Efficiently manage contracts, systems, and supplier development.
• Maintain controls for quantity, quality, price, and delivery of purchased items.
• Optimize consignment stock and minimize inventory value.
• Maintain purchasing files in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare and submit reports as directed.
• Continuously improve purchasing methods and processes.
• Ensure a safe work environment and undertake special projects as assigned.
