General Responsibilities: Responsible for identifying and implementing solutions for manufacturing processes that drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. This role will work closely with manufacturing, design, and other departments in driving to improve manufacturing processes. Additionally, this role will lead the efforts in Continuous Improvement and prepare our operations for future growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with manufacturing team to identify and address process inefficiencies.
  • Support daily production activities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Drive solutions through Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Identify and manage CAPEX projects.
  • Create Standarized Work for operations.
  • Defines tooling and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. Coordinates with tool designer to specify or procure new tooling and fixtures.
  • Identify and drive solutions to improve Machining cycle time and efficiency.
  • Analyzes equipment capacity and planning for future equipment needs.
  • Reviews and evaluates cost pertaining to make vs buy decisions and new product development.
  • Identify and drive solutions to improve Material Handling and Assembly processes.
  • Participate in future planning for expansion of current processes locally.
  • Analyze engineering changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design, quality and supply chain, in support of manufacturing process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineer in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Engineering degree required.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement is a must.
  • Experience with implementing CAPEX projects is a must.
  • CNC Machining or programming experience is a plus.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of firearms is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
