Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - Electrical for our Fort Smith, Arkansas site. This role is pivotal in providing leadership and execution for key planned work activities. The position is integral in ensuring the facility's asset reliability, cost optimization, and strategic capital planning are achieved through tactical leadership and collaboration.

What You Will Do

  • Provide tactical leadership in asset reliability, cost optimization, and quality capability.
  • Lead and mentor maintenance team members, building their capability and supporting their development.
  • Promote continuous improvement to achieve zero SIFs and zero Process Safety Level II/III incidents.
  • Foster a business mindset within the mill organization utilizing the Decision-Making Framework (DMF).
  • Enhance and reinforce our PBM® culture by leading strategic discussions and partnerships.
  • Leverage dashboards and reports to drive process improvements and close performance gaps.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Five or more years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
  • Experience in directly supervising others in similar settings.
  • Knowledge of reliability concepts and precision maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability.
  • Experience in repairing and troubleshooting pumps, gearboxes, mechanical drive systems, and hydraulics.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems troubleshooting, including arc flash, motor drives, basic PLC function, and servo drives and motors.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with SAP preferred.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry or food industry.
  • Proven troubleshooting training and experience.
  • Knowledge of basic machining processes.
  • Knowledge in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) development and execution.
  • Experience developing technical skillsets in maintenance and operations personnel.
