Acquisition Specialist

Project Enhancement Corporation (PEC), and its team of industry experts, focus on providing project management and specialized technical services in the areas of emergency operations, nuclear incident response, nuclear safety, worker safety and health, quality assurance, environment as well as materials and facilities disposition within the DOE and commercial power industry. Employment Position: Acquisition Specialist Location: Fort Chaffee, Arkansas This position is for a full-time Acquisition Specialist onsite at the Office of Secure Transportation (OST) facility at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of acquisition packages.
• Coordinate, prepare, submit and track procurements of supplies, equipment and services.
• Maintain required documentation of disposition of supplies and equipment.
• Provide customer support to Office of Secure Transportation federal program managers.
• Provide support for other tasks and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a four-year degree (or high school diploma or state equivalent and 4 years of experience) plus 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Relevant experience for this position involves experience in procuring items/supplies (including market research and development of purchase request) and payment/reconciliation for private or government sector.
• Proficiency in use of all Microsoft Office applications to include SharePoint.
• Familiarity with government systems such as iPORTAL, STRIPES and FAST.
• Familiarity with Government Procurement Regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain an "L" security clearance. The candidate's written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of maintaining a security clearance will be required as a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment and ongoing reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal substances will be conducted as a requirement for ongoing access to DOE sites. The candidate's written consent to conduct such tests will be required as a condition of employment.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with processing, storage and transmittal of controlled unclassified information.
• Knowledge of DOE sites and types of operation.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to define and achieve goals with little supervision.

Physical Demands:

• Able to sit for extended periods and perform work in an office environment, including extensive use of computers.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.
