POSITION: Continuous Improvement Engineer REVISION DATE: 7/28/2025
REPORTS TO: VP of Engineering and Quality
JOB SUMMARY: The Continuous Improvement Engineer will leverage skills in data analysis, project design, management, and leadership to ensure performance and further develop processes. The person in this position is responsible for using Lean principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives and excellence within operations. This role participates in planning and implementing Kaizen activities on the production floor within the manufacturing facility.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience in the application of quality improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma/DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Cell Design, Kata, and Root Cause Analysis
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including advanced skills with Excel
Experience with metal cutting, forming, welding, and fabrication is a plus
Experience with CNC wood cutting, laminating, milling and millwork assembly is a plus

Must display effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees
Ability to independently weigh and manage priorities
Display flexibility and diplomacy when dealing with production staff and other coworkers
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
Occasionally required to stand/walk for 6-8 hours per day for project-based assignments on production floor
