WorkSource is now hiring grinders in the Fort Smith area. New pay rates start at $16.00 with a $2.00 per hour attendance bonus and unlimited overtime available. All these positions are temp to hire. Responsibilities

Inspect or measure finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as gauges or micrometers
Set up, operate or tend grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal or plastic pieces
Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems
Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications, using knowledge of machine operation
Select machine tooling to be used, using knowledge of machine and production requirements
Mount and position tools in machine chucks, spindles, or other tool holding devices, using hand tools
Slide spacers between buffs on spindles to set spacing
Work as a team member with a safety mindset

Qualifications

6+ months of industrial experience required
Capable of standing, bending, twisting, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs continuously
Reliable transportation
Comfortable working in environmental extremes
